Planning my first ride for the first Sunday to get to the DOCGB Surrey branch meet-up at Newlands corner. Will be a small shakedown to ProTwins and get the wheels balanced, (now I have the disc carriers replaced), so may be looking for a couple for buddies to come and join me on the ride, just in case she misbehaves a little! It has been a superb experience rebuilding her and the next small thing on my list is to change the rearsets to Ducabike ones. This will give me a chance to see if I like the look of them, or g and get Wesley at Hi-Spec coatings to Cerakote them black to look more like the SP5.
Finally, I am still torn on the single rear seat. Ideally, I would love t find an original, but the reproduction ones all seem to be slightly off, especially around the rear light. Need to think on this one, but the Strada seat and panels pay enough homage to the SP5, that I may hold fire and use the money on fuel instead!
